Review Summary:
Pros: A great DIY option for adding sleek social media buttons to any widgetized area of your site (header, footer, sidebar - or even after posts!). Sophisticated design with lots of font choices and any color you want. Easy to install and use. Cons: The icons are all set at 64px and you can't currently change the size. Hopefully in future releases they'll include these options. But this is an amazing plugin for being FREE.
Summary:

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of the Genesis theme for WordPress (I use it myself!), and one of the reasons is their amazing product support. Brian and his team understand that not everyone is a designer, so they’re always creating add-ons to help you upgrade your blog without having to purchase a whole new theme.

Hot off the press is a brand new FREE plugin for Genesis called “Social Circles.” It’s a new way of adding social media icons to any widgetized area on your site. For example, sidebar social icons are great, but I prefer mine to be in the footer. With the Social Circle plugin, all I have to do is activate the plugin, then drag and drop a widget into place anywhere I want it.
I love the simplicity of the design, and the fact that there aren’t a bunch of clunky icons cluttering up my page. If you’re a Genesis user, this plugin can give you a fresh looking set of social media badges with no design skills and no coding necessary.
Here are your options for this plugin:
Social Media Options:
- Etsy
- Flickr
- Google+
- RSS
- Tumblr
- YouTube
Font Choices:
- Corsiva
- Georgia
- Lobster
- Oswald (which I’m using)
- Playbill
- Sinhala
- Ubuntu
Colors:
Anything you want. Just add the hex code for the main color and the hover color, and you’re set to go! (You can see it in action down in my footer.)

“the hex color picker is brilliant”
What colour picker – do you mean the ability to input the hex for the colour?
I don’t see a picker!

Hmn. You’re right. I guess I was trying to use the word “input” or “chooser” and accidentally used a web dev jargon word instead. Will fix that. (thanks!)
